Safer Roads
The law Florida doesn't have.
On the night Ryan died, a driver hit him and was never required to take a breathalyzer. Florida law does not mandate one in fatal crashes involving vulnerable road users — motorcyclists, cyclists, pedestrians.
That single sentence is why this foundation exists. The gap is not an oversight; it’s a choice. Other states require it. Florida doesn’t. So here we are.
What your donation funds.
- 01Legal advocacy — working with attorneys and lawmakers to draft, sponsor, and pass a mandatory breathalyzer requirement for fatal crashes involving vulnerable road users.
- 02Family support — direct aid to families navigating the days, weeks, and months after a preventable traffic death. Funeral support, legal navigation, grief resources.
- 03Public awareness— making sure no one in Florida can claim they didn’t know this gap existed.
We can’t bring Ryan back. We can make sure the next family doesn’t have to fight the same fight from scratch.
